Feiner is holding a meeting, tonight at 8:30 pm, to remove our constitutional rights. Show up early and watch him do it.
We need Edgemonters to show up tonight at Town Hall at 8:15pm.
At the last minute, Paul Feiner scheduled a public meeting this evening, Sunday, June 18, at which he will make a second request to change State laws in a manner that only affect Greenburgh. His actions, if successful, would have the effect of establishing specifically onerous standards for village incorporation that would only apply to Greenburgh communities such as Edgemont, Hartsdale, and Fairview, but not to any other New York hamlets that may wish to consider villagization in the future.
The meeting will be held tonight at 8:30 pm at Greenburgh Town Hall, and the Town. Paul Feiner says that the meeting “should only last a few minutes.” It is important for Edgemonters to show up early and be heard. We want State legislators to understand how the Town of Greenburgh really operates, particularly how Feiner and the Town Board have thwarted, at every turn, Edgemont’s legal right to vote on how it wishes to be governed.
We recognize that a visit to 177 Hillside Avenue may not have been in your Father’s Day plans. But with school ending, is there a better civics lesson for the kids as they start their summer than standing up for our right to vote? If you can, after your BBQs and other such family events this evening, please join the EIC and protest Feiner’s request to treat Edgemont and other areas of unincorporated in an arbitrary manner.
