The Supervisor has decided to string out the process of hearing the third petition.
The third petition’s 1400+ signatures represent approximately 27% of Edgemont’s qualified voters, demonstrating strong community support for a vote on incorporation.
The Town Planning Board granted Shelbourne Assisted Living a (third) two-year extension of the site plan approval.
CGR has provided a roadmap for a low impact and cooperative Edgemont/Greenburgh relationship. They concluded that Edgemont’s incorporation, which would at long last allow us to elect our own mayor and board of trustees and thereby exercise broad municipal powers necessary to shape the future of our community, could result in virtually no increase in overall property tax liability for Edgemont residents. CGR came to this conclusion using assumptions that were even more conservative than ours.
This evening, the Center for Government Research (CGR) will present its draft analysis of Edgemont’s incorporation.
Seeking information on non-citizens and minors
Since the courts approved our previous methods of collecting information, we will again seek the following information directly from the residents of each household within the Proposed Village of Edgemont.

URGENT: The State is considering legislation flipping incorporation law to give Supervisor Feiner more power.
The EIC studies opportunities for post-incorporation Town-Village cooperation.

The Greenburgh Town Board once again is discussing a resolution to allow all residents of unincorporated Greenburgh to vote on whether Edgemont should incorporate. The resolution violates several laws, but the Town nevertheless tries this trick each time we have a petition.
Mr. Feiner seems to be accepting the reality that, post incorporation, the Town would benefit from a partnership with Edgemont.
The EIC has been busy gathering signatures for a new petition seeking a vote on whether Edgemont should incorporate into a village. The response to date has been overwhelming.
Curious about those political mailers you received recently that urged you not to support holding a vote on Edgemont's incorporation?
We need Edgemonters to show up tomorrow night, May 17th, at Greenburgh Town Hall at 5:00pm for a special meeting of the Town Board.
This is just like Father’s Day 2017.
