Update on Edgemont Incorporation Petition

Dear Edgemont Residents,

We are writing to update you on tonight’s public hearing regarding the legal sufficiency of the petition for a vote on Edgemont’s incorporation.

No objections were made orally during the public hearing. However, sealed written objections were submitted to the Town Supervisor, and their contents were not made public during the proceedings. We have requested copies of these objections and were informed that they would be sent to us tonight. While only objectors were allowed to speak, some individuals used the opportunity to argue against the merits of incorporation rather than focusing on the legal sufficiency of the petition. Unfortunately, we were not permitted to respond or defend against these claims.

We remain committed to advancing the incorporation process and ensuring that Edgemont’s interests are fairly represented.
