Meeting tonight at Town Hall
Dear Neighbors:
Happy spring!
This evening, the Center for Government Research (CGR) will present its draft analysis of Edgemont’s incorporation. The study, undertaken pursuant to legislation passed earlier this year, will focus on incorporation’s potential effects on residents of both the new village and the rest of the Town of Greenburgh.
Since October, CGR has developed its report by reviewing Town financial documents, EIC materials, and other relevant data, including the budgets of Greenburgh’s six existing villages. CGR has also interviewed Town representatives, anti-incorporation spokespersons, and EIC leaders.
The group’s findings will be presented this evening, 7:00p, at Greenburgh Town Hall. Please feel free to attend and ask questions in person or by Zoom, or watch on livestream. We will distribute a summary once the CGR report is finalized.
[To attend the meeting by Zoom, email CGRmeeting@GreenburghNY.com and a link will be emailed to you this afternoon.]
The EIC remains committed to offering Edgemont residents the opportunity to vote on our preferred form of self-governance. To that end, the final steps toward filing the community’s third petition are in motion.
Thanks,
The EIC
